I have 4 circa 1890s? 6.5 x 8.5 inch glass plate holders for a Blair view camera I believe. A 6.5 x 8.5 Blair view camera was sold at the same auction which I didn't get! These are very old and have grooves down each side. The dark slides are made of a thick fiber paper-like material as old holders have instead of plastic. Inside is a separator which comes out by sliding a small brass tab inset in the face of one of the side boards. This tab operates 2 fingers inside that board which allows the removal of the separator and allowing the loading and removal of the glass plates which are loaded from this side only. All the dark slides are missing at least most of a small leather pull which helped pull the slides out. One of the holders is missing one board at the top which holds the dark slide against the spring loaded light trap. Otherwise all are intact and good and solid. They measure about 8 3/8 x 10 5/8 overall including the wood strips on the ends of the dark slides. Between the groves they measure just less than 8 inches. The end that goes in the camera first is slightly recessed and at the other end the board is slightly raised. They came is a box with a bed extension and tripod legs probably for the Blair 6.5 x 8.5 view camera.SORRY NO PICKUPS. Winner pays shipping for 5 lbs.
