With a big big 9/16" clear aperture eyelens and rubber eyecup, you won't know you are looking through a 5MM eyepiece. Most 5mm standard plossls or orthoscopics have very tiny pinhole lenses at that power, but not this one. It has very comfortable eye relief. about 9mm for the full field of view. You get very sharp views and a wide angle with comfortable eye relief. what more could you ask? How about a smoking low price? OH YEA! you got that too! This eyepiece has coated lenses and a 1.25" chromed barrel but no filter threads. Comes with rubber eyecup and bottom cap. Get high power in a sharp wide angle 60 degree apparent field of view eyepiece and get it cheap!! All lens elements are from Meade products but the final eyepiece is my own design.
