Made in JAPAN. This lens has been used only a handful of times and the picture is of the actual item that the winner will receive. Why pay $500 plus tax at your local retail stores? when you can get here at a better bargain. Just to let you know that there are 2 versions of this EF 28-200mm lens made by Canon: USM version and Non-USM version. This is the USM VERSION, and is very smooth and quite while focusing. Given the choice, I would not buy NON-USM version even by mistake! This lens is good for all kinds of photography especially good for group portraits, natural landscapes, wild life shots, Martial Arts events, and wild lives etc. Focusing mechanism is very smooth and quiet, and really helps to take a close-up shots without any extra effort. The zooming mechanism easily helps to get shots of a big group of people in the pictures. This is one of the BEST lens whose results are comparable to the one from EF 70-40mm L series lens, but again L series lenses are at least twice expensive. For its compact size and super wide angle features, this is one of the highly sought after lens by the Professional as well as amateur photographers. This lens is superbly well built and very clean, in PRISTINE condition. I test all my items prior to listing them here. I have tested this lens with my Canon Rebel XT (350D) and Canon 20D Digital Camera as well as Canon EOS 1V and EOS 3 film camera. The results are simply terrific and impeccable!
