Herschel     This complete original article is from an 1901 US museum report, which was likely published in the following year. It has 4 pages of text, (text pages are numbered 313-316), illustrated with 3 beautiful full-color plates, credited to "A. Hoen & Co., Lithocaustic, Baltimore".     A presidential address by Herschel to the 16th annual meeting of the photographic convention of the United Kingdom, 1901, on "the attempt to reproduce the natural colors of objects in a picture of them by means of photography". The color plates are really beautiful; #1 - From a Direct Photograph in Colors, by Prof. Lippman; #2 - From a Composite Helio-chrome, by Mr. Ives; #3 - From a Color Photograph by the McDonough Process.     Measures 6 by 9.25 inches; stapled into paper covers; small pencil note to back cover; beautiful, very clean.
