This is an old early 1900s heavy metal pneumatic delayed shutter release for cameras with pneumatic operated shutters. It is marked on the rubber tube nipple end- Automatic Camera Shutter. On the other end is a round cap? marked- Target. This cap? can be pressed down over the small air inlet hole at the top and when the long lever on the side is pulled the cap? pops up. The cap? doesn't fit tight against the hole so I don't see its function. To operate, the top portion with the cap? is pulled up against spring tension inside, then when released a short period of time later the top plunges down pushing a puff of air out the tube nipple to operate the shutter. The outfit measures about 5 1/8 inches long, not counting the cap? when in the up position, and the main tube is about 1 inch in diameter. This was found in a box of Blair 6.5 x 8.5 view camera plate holders and a bed extension which I have listed at this time also. I didn't get the camera!SORRY NO PICKUPS. Winner pays $5.45 Shipping for U.S.A. Insurance is extra and is based on final sale price. The listing form requires that I give the insurance cost before the final price is known so may not be correct. I will combine multiple wins for shipping when possible, but ask first. Payment must be received by 10 days from auction close. I accept PayPal, Money Orders and Checks if you have an established positive feedback rating. Thanks for looking and good luck!
