SquareTrade © AP6.0Here is a brand new tube mounting clamshell from Meade. It is 3.5" or 90mm inside diameter when closed all the way. It is 4" long. This clamshell held an 80MM diameter Meade tube so before you decide to buy it, you will want to measure the tube you are mounting. If it is 90mm or 3.5" in outside diameter this will work as is. But if it is bigger this will not work. If the tube is smaller you can put extra felt inside the clamshell to get a good fit. This clamshell is very nicely made of high impact very strong plastic with metal hardware. It has a flat area on the bottom for easy mounting and two holes with screws and nuts for mounting onto a mount. There is a thumbscrew on the side to lock or unlock the clamshell easily and quickly There is felt inside to make sure your tube does not get scratched.
