DESCRIPTION BRAND NEW 80MM EQUATORIALLY MOUNTED REFRACTOR TELESCOPE FROM MEADE! The leader in consumer optics! This is a high quality 80mm diameter, 900mm focal length refracting telescope on a very sturdy equatorial mount with an adjustable height aluminum tripod and slow motion controls and both axis. This scope has a nice 1.25" focuser and comes with two 1.25" eyepieces, MA25 for low power and MA9 for high power. So you get 2 different powers. 36x, and 100x. I tested one of these scopes from a random pick and at 200x it was SHARP AND CLEAR! Just add a 2x barlow from one of my other auctions to get 200x. Many scopes will not be clear at over 60 power per inch of diameter but these are high quality Meade telescopes. Don't be disappointed by buying an unknown brand or a scope with no brand name. Get a quality Meade scope and get clear views that will make you happy to use the telescope. After all, that is what amateur astronomy is all about. Having a great time looking at the wonders in the sky! It is much more fun to see them clearly, than it is to see a fuzzy dim image from a poor quality scope. One more great feature of this scope is the way the tube is mounted. It uses a fast on and off dovetail system that allows you to put the tube on or off in seconds! Also it is a lightweight assembly that can be carried in one hand, so you won't get a hernia with this scope. This is a fun, sharp, sturdy scope that is upgradable to motor drive and the price is so so low from us because we only buy overstocks and closeouts, so you know you are getting a great deal!
