This is an achromatic high quality Meade coated objective lens so it gives sharp almost false color free images up to 200X. I even saw a great view of Saturn at 300x with one of these but I won't claim that every one of these will do that. This makes a telescope or guidescope. With a 40mm eyepiece you get 22.5x or with a 4mm eyepiece you get 225x. You can also use anything in between, but that is the normal low and high end for this tube. This tube can handle easily 60x per inch as do fine telescopes. This tube is fairly lightweight, under 4 lbs so it need a large mount to be stable. It is about 3' long. The best thing is the price!
