For Sale: Meade 16" Super Giant Field Tripod for the 16.0" LX200 Telescope. We took this tripod in on trade. It is new in a box and went originally with the Meade LX200 16" Classic. This should fit any of the Meade LX200 telescopes and it normally goes for $1800 to $2300. The total weight of the Box and Tripod together is 108 lbs. but the tripod weight by itself is 88 lbs. You should be able to use this tripod for other LX200 telescopes as well and it would provide an INCREDIBLY stable platform if you plan to do any sort of astrophotography. The shipping cost from Mt. Airy MD to California is $225.00 (the box weight is 108 lbs and the dimensions are 30 X 29 X 40). If you would like to pick this item up then there will be no shipping charges.
