I've powered the camera up and mechanically it appears to be fine; the cassette loading mechanism operates smoothly, and the zoom and focus controls work nicely. The tape plays, responds to the fast-forward and reverse controls, and the tape counter etc. works. The internal TV monitor/viewfinder works fine and plays back the test footage that is on the tape that came with the camera.However, the viewfinder doesn't show the view through the lens of the camera - it displays a constant flicker. The batteries appear in good condition externally, but I don't know how good they are at holding a charge. Repairing the camera may well be a relatively minor job, or it may be more suitable for spares. Since this camera is effectively just a re-branded Panasonic, at the very least you're getting a bunch of cables, accessories and a fitted carrying case suitable for this model or compatible Panasonic ones.
