Vintage 16mm filmsound movie "The Forgotten American" copyright 1949 (MCMXLVIII) Carousel films a CBS News Production A stirring polemic documentary on the cultural, social and economic challenges in an important area of American domestic policy, apparently actually recorded about 1963 ish according to the cars and participants ages. A documentary of the once very inadequate provisions and support for the American Indian and the desperate health, social and economic conditions on US reservations. Special focus on the Navaho, short interviews with indians, lawyer and govt & BLM/BIA officials and a very beautiful young Buffy Sainte Marie. Full length movie about 1000 feet with sound.
