Why you need this tool As you know the retaining nut that holds this assembly in place is very difficult to remove with ordinary hand tools. The retaining nut is deeply recessed into the camera body and there is very little room to work. The retaining nut has a very thin wall and can be easily damaged . Our wrench has been designed and manufactured to very close tolerances to be a precision fit. This greatly reduces the chance of damaging your camera. The slots in the retaining nut are quite small, and at first glance it appears that aligning the tabs on the wrench with the slots in the nut would be a tedious operation. However, with our precision wrench all that it takes to engage the tabs is a turn of the wrench and the tabs drop right into the slots. How it works Pictured below is a Kodak Retina IIIc To use our wrench simply open the front door of the camera and extend the lens, open the back door and insert the tool. Insert the tool past the film rails into the camera body and turn the wrench to engage the tabs on the tool into the slots in the retaining nut. Turn the wrench counter-clockwise to remove the retaining nut. The lens/shutter assembly can now be removed from the camera. Our tool turns a really tough job into a very simple one. A lens can be removed and reinstalled much faster than the time that it took for you to read this ad! Buy with confidence! If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase simply return the wrench in as received condition for a full refund.
