Strand Century miniPalette lighting control console As seen in the attached photo, This large console has a 10" wide by 8" tall cathode ray tube display, a 5.25" floppy disk drive for library storage of all recorded information, an overtemp indicator LED and a lock switch with the settings "off", "lock", "record" and "backup" on the upper portion (key is not included). On the lower portion is a set of 10 submaster sliders, two larger sliders, a pair of large levers that cover a range of 0 to 10, buttons labelled 1, 2 and 3, buttons with indicator lights labelled "stop" and "go", a group of buttons labelled "displays" that include the buttons "stage", "preview", "submaster", "patch", "backup", "setup", "last" and "next", and a group of buttons labelled "commands" that include the buttons "record in", "cue", "rate", "effect", "go to", "Q only", "time", "delay", "part", "C", "O", "F", "·", ">", "+", "@" and "*". There's also a number keypad and an unlabelled black control wheel. On the back of the unit is a hi/low switch and brightness control knob for the display, a battery on/off switch, and a battery backup on/off switch. There's also a set of round female four-pin connectors labelled "remote control I", "remote control II", "dimmers out I", "dimmers out II", "remote console", "manual console", and "overtemp". There are large coaxial connectors labelled "video out I" and "video out II", and there's a 36-contact printer connector. The original operator's manual is included. A power cord is included. How the unit was tested: The unit was plugged in and turned on. The display came on, but was filled with random alphanumeric characters. The unit did not respond to the controls and could not be reset by cursory attempts to do so. It is not known whether repairs are necessary or whether this could be corrected more easily if a key was available.
